About Cleared to Land/Scape

Cleared to Land/Scape is a veteran owned land clearing and forestry mulching company based in Springfield, Georgia. We work across Effingham County and the surrounding area, and the owner is usually the one who quotes the job and then shows up to run the machine.

Land does not need to be transformed. It needs the right work done to it, at the right time.

Our story

Built on service standards, run on coastal Georgia ground.

Cleared to Land/Scape started with one machine and a simple idea. Land work in this part of Georgia had a reputation for missed dates, vague pricing and jobsites left messier than they were found. None of that had to be the standard.

A lot of that comes from military service. Be where you said you would be. Say the hard thing early instead of the easy thing now. Finish what you started and leave the place squared away before you go. Those habits translate almost directly to running heavy equipment on someone else's property.

Today the work covers forestry mulching, land clearing, grading and site prep, storm cleanup and driveway construction across Effingham, Chatham, Bulloch, Bryan and Screven counties. The company has grown, but the owner still runs the machine on most jobs, and the person you meet at the estimate is usually the person you see on site the morning work begins.

What we stand on

What decides how a job actually runs.

Veteran owned discipline

Show up when we said we would, say the hard thing early and finish what we started. Habits that came out of service, carried onto your property.

Stewardship by default

Mulching feeds organic matter back into the soil, protects the roots of what you keep standing and heads off the erosion that bare dirt invites.

Honest scheduling

You get a real answer on when we can come, and if weather moves a start date, you hear it from us before you have to call and ask.

Local accountability

We live and work in Effingham County. Your property sits a few miles from ours, and there is a decent chance we already know your road.

The iron

The right machine for the ground in front of us.

The wrong machine on soft coastal ground leaves ruts you will be filling in for a year. We try to match the equipment to the soil and the season, not just whatever happens to already be on the trailer.

Compact track loader with mulching head

Our main machine on most jobs. Carbide drum, low ground pressure tracks and a footprint narrow enough for a standard gate. It handles everything from briar to mid size timber.

Excavator with thumb

For stumps, root balls, pond banks and storm timber. When something has to come out of the ground rather than be ground down, this is what does it.

Track machine grading a building pad smooth

Grading and site prep attachments

Grading buckets, rakes and compaction gear for pads, drives and finished yards. This is what turns cleared ground into ground you can actually build on.
